Paul Mercier is an acclaimed Irish writer and director. He co-founded Passion Machine, creating twelve original plays that toured internationally. His work for the Abbey Theatre and Fíbín Theatre includes notable Irish-language productions. Mercier also writes for film and television, with credits such as Studs, We Ourselves, and Prospect House. His films have earned multiple IFTAs and international festival awards. He co-runs An Pointe Productions, promoting regional Irish filmmaking. His work is known for its authenticity, cultural depth, and commitment to new Irish voices. Currently, he is developing a new theatre project supported by the Arts Council.
