Alan Gilsenan
Alan Gilsenan is a multi-award-winning, highly experienced Irish film-artist, writer and occasional theatre director. His diverse and eclectic body of film work extends across creative documentary, feature films and more experimental work.
Gilsenan’s work has been acclaimed for its poetic visual style, its radical subject matter and its prescient timeliness.
He has recently adapted John Banville’s The Book of Evidence for the screen; he has also written commissioned screenplays Paris Thin & When All Are Dead Who Love Us.
Currently, Gilsenan is filming an experimental piece, a contemporary meditation on the Japanese master Bashō and his relation to our current ecology.
