The 41st General Assembly of Aosdána will not take place in UCD on 5 October as planned.
It was decided not to hold the General Assembly due to uncertainty as to numbers permitted at that time and attendance rate. In its place a postal vote will take place for the election of new members. All 238 current members will receive a postal vote by 5 October for return no later than 12 October. The ballot count will take place in the Arts Council and it is expected new members will be announced on 13 October.
