Patrick Graham

Born in Mullingar Co. Westmeath, in 1943, he studied at the National College of Art in Dublin. He has exhibited in Ireland and internationally since 1966, and is represented in major public and private collections at home and abroad. Solo exhibitions include Emmet Gallery, Dublin (1974, 76); Lincoln Gallery, Dublin (1981, 82, 83, 84); Douglas Hyde Gallery, Dublin (1994, 2002); Crawford Municipal Art Gallery, Cork (1994); Green on Red Gallery, Dublin (1996, 2000); and Fresno Art Museum, California (1998). His awards include the painting award at the 1916 Commemoration Exhibition at the Hugh Lane Municipal Gallery of Modern Art, Dublin (1966) and the Royal Dublin Prize for Drawing (1961-62). In 1987, he won the President’s Gold Medal at the Oireachtas Exhibition, and in 1988, the painting award at the International Cultural Festival in Baghdad, Iraq. He is represented by Jack Rutberg Fine Arts in Los Angeles, and has exhibited work at that gallery since 1987; a major retrospective appeared there in 2002. He lives in Dublin.
