Eamon Colman
Eamon Colman was born in Dublin and is a former President of the European Council of Artists. He has been a full-time painter for over thirty years and is well respected by his peers for his great addition to Irish art and the Irish art community.
Brilliant bursts of colour and detailed brush strokes are signature to his work. He has exhibited widely as a solo artist in Ireland - Rubicon Gallery in Dublin; Tulfarris Gallery in Wicklow; the Droichead Arts Centre in Drogheda; Vanguard Gallery, Cork and abroad in Oriel Queens Hall Gallery, Wales; the Palais des Congres in Lorient, and in Frederickshaven in Denmark.
His work has also featured as part of major group exhibitions in Belgium, Canada, Italy, Spain, Hong Kong and Singapore. He has received numerous awards and commissions and his work forms part of the collections of many organisations including the Danish Arts Council, AIB Bank Brussels, Vermont Studio Centre and the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast. He now lives in County Kilkenny.
