Jim Nolan


Jim Nolan was born and lives in Waterford and is a founder member and former Artistic Director of Red Kettle Theatre Company. His plays include Dear KennyMoonshine, The Salvage Shop, Blackwater Angel, Sky Road, Brighton, Dreamland and Johnny I Hardly Knew Ye. Jim’s plays have been produced throughout Ireland, the UK, USA and Canada and he has worked as a writer and director with many of Ireland’s leading theatre companies, including the Abbey Theatre, Field Day and Rough Magic. He is a former Writer-in-Association at the Abbey Theatre and has held several Arts Council Theatre Artist Residencies at Garter Lane Arts Centre. Jim’s plays are published by Gallery Press (
