James Harpur has had five poetry collections published by Anvil Press: Angels and Harvesters (2012), The Dark Age (2007), Oracle Bones (2001), The Monk’s Dream (1996), and A Vision of Comets(1993), all of which reflect his interest in myth, history and the sacred. He has also published a translation of the poems of Boethius, Fortune’s Prisoner (Anvil Press, 2007), as well as an introduction to the Christian mystics, Love Burning in the Soul, Shambhala, 2005. He is the poetry editor of the Temenos Academy Review. He lives in West Cork.
James Harpur was elected to Aosdána in March 2015.
